For all you two avid visitors of my site, I'm sure you'll be happy to see I've redesigned it, it now has a wonderful git powered backend (no databases in sight here).

Adding an entry is simply of a matter of writing it in Markdown and pushing it to the git repository. At this point it gets extremely hacky and a collection of zsh, Perl and JavaScript (yes, JavaScript, I like E4X and use it for templating) scripts are run, generating the static page you see right now.

I have to admit at this point I took inspiration for the design of this site from Ryan Tomayko whose Administrative debris article (finally) inspired me bring this site into the 21st century. I don't quite think I've achieved the minimalistic zen that he has managed to achieve, but I'd like to think I'm on the way..
